Naomi Filmer is contemporary jewelry designer who mostly works with silversmith materials, metal works. she is an artist who mostly works on focusing on the relationship between the body,object and the absence of an object. she built her reputation through catwalk collaborations with a various amount of designers such as Alexander Mqueen, Husssein Chalayan and Anne Valerie Hash.

she challenges contemporary craft ideas, marrying craft with design. Her latest work includes sculptural installations showing new direction in her practice.

Naomi filmer has embarked on a journey of designing, experimenting in teaching ambitious talents between London and Europe. on the other hand, exhibitions have always been her method of creativity vent and delve into intricate subjects.

She has always been challenging conventional and traditional jewelry through creating pieces that explore the relationship between the body,objects and also the materials that she uses. She also creates pieces about the body rather pieces to be worn on the body itself. she works and flirts with the world of jewelry making and in doing so she crosses the border between design and craftsmanship and also jewelry making.

My opinion on her work is that her work is quite versatile and very abstract but it isn't the typical traditional jewelry that we see in the modern world. She ranges from making jewelry which can be for the mouth, arms and also the legs but they are also in very different styles from eachother, she uses materials ranging from wires, to metal, to fishbowls, glass and also other materials
