reflection of painting

In my experience I have quite enjoyed painting as this is one of my specialties however it was a difficult task as I haven’t used college with painting as much.

by doing research on a specific artist which has helped encounter my ideas really well was the inspiration of John Stezaker who was an artist that I found on my Tate modern visit.

By using inspiration of his work and incorporating it into my own work really has helped me develop my painting skills and coming out of my comfort zone to create more abstract work.
How I could expand my research more is maybe creating working style into more 3-D conceptual work and painting and collaging into that. Getting crits and feedback from people about my work helps expand my ideas and explore more techniques which I haven’t tried before but also at the same time not only have I learnt to work more independently but working in groups has helped me explain my ideas and getting feedback from them whether it is negative or positive

what I will do differently in the future is to not create hyperrealistic paintings all the time creating paintings using a wide range of materials and not just our traditional materials such as paintbrushes fine liners etc…
