Rebecca Horn Artist research - Sculptor

Rebecca Horn is a german visual artist who is best known for her installation art, film making, and her body modifications. A woman who experienced from life threatening diseases but never stopped making artwork. She was diagnosed with a lung disease and from there made work in the hospital but very abstract. Horn started making soft sculptures from materials she could work whilst recovering from her illness. Till this day she still makes soft sculptures which communicates with others and to show people the understanding of her own spirtual capacity and that of others.

One of her more famous works which was the finger gloves really inspired me for the arm cast i made for the arm made from kebab skewers hows that making something can be very useful for day to day life even if its materials which you find laying around at home. By using the skewers i got to make a successful wooden arm cast which prevented the arm from bending and could possibly be a way of a quick recovery.
