Reflection

For this project I created something similar to what I had created in the communications project however brought to 3D however based on the last activity that we had done with our dynamic poses which we had cut out and stuck on the drawings that we did we created it in 3-D. During this process creating the big ben has allowed me to develop my sculptural practice and to make things on a bigger scale add to show my building techniques and painting techniques.

I have tried to make this as accurate as possible to the drawings that we have done using a our dynamic poses images. By going further with this sculpture we want to create a Stop Motion animation to tell a story.

The most satisfying thing for me was making the end product of the big Ben because of the way the whole final set animation came to place at the end and the outcome was something which really satisfied me too however there were some things which didn't go in the direction we hoped it would go in but by using the teamwork and help from others and feedback from our tutors it gave us a sense of direction in our work. However the most satisfying this 2was creating the big ben which was life sized and huge.

Initially we didnt want to create the animation and the setwork was something which we wanted to do and write a small story board of what was going on.

Everyone in the class went their own direction and we wanted to create something which was more real life but also set in a dystopian world but set in a reality world whereas everyones work was very distinct and made up but we wanted to show something which could possibly happen one day in the future but we left it on a cliff hanger.

The way we did it differently is the size of the actual project compared to everyone elses, we wanted to make it very unique and much more life sized to show the contrast of the sizes between all of them.

while creating the Big Ben and the process of painting it, it made me realize that creating architectural sites using sculpture but also using painting in a abstract and a realism way it symbolizes the way i work and sculpture is maybe something i could pursue in.

We used a range of resources and materials for this project which was mainly using cardboard and paint but we also used metal wired structure to uphold the actual structure itself and that's what kept the building together.
